When considering installing new water pipes in your business or home there are quite a few things to consider and or questions that you should have answers to before commencing work. PLUMBSQUADS is here to answer them all and help you along this journey.
Check out these five signs to look for if it’s time for pipe replacement or repairs:
- Poor water pressure or volume
- Leaking and/or corroded pipes
- Rusty, discolored water
- Existing pipes are galvanized steel
- Problems when running more than one fixture
Poor water pressure is the term most often used to describe low water volume. The major contributing factor to poor water volume is rust and corrosion, causing the inside diameter of the pipe to close off like aging arteries in a heart. Adding to the problem is the constant flow of debris through an aging water system. As water pipes age, corrosion, and rust deposits form and cling to the walls of the pipes, slowly constricting the inside diameter and limiting the amount of water that can flow through it. These deposits often break loose and flow to fixtures, stopping water supply to the fixture.
Plumbsquads specializes in pipe installation, replacement, repair, and cleaning. Check out some of the water, sewer, and drain problems the Squads can correct for you:
- Pipe Blockage: Grease buildup or a foreign object is restricting the flow Broken, offset, or collapsed pipe: Pipes have been damaged due to shifting soil, frozen ground, settling, etc.
- Bellied pipe: A section of the pipe has sunk due to the ground, creating a valley that collects solid waste.
- Pipe Corrosion: The pipe has deteriorated or broken, causing collapses in the line and prohibiting flow.
- Off-grade pipe: Existing pipe systems are constructed of defective or compromised material that may have deteriorated or corroded.
- Roots in sewer line: Tree or shrub roots have invaded the sewer line and/or have damaged the line, preventing normal flow.
- Leaking joints: The seals between pipes have broken, allowing water to escape and roots and/or dirt to enter the line.
PLUMBSQUADS is available 24/7 to perform routine drain maintenance, emergency drain cleaning services, and sewer cleaning.
Our drain cleaning services include downspout, floor, sewer, storm drains, and more.
GAS LINE INSTALLATION, REPLACEMENT & REPAIR
Do you need us to install a gas line for your business, property, or home? We’ve got you covered!
Check out some of the applications we install gas lines for:
- Gas stoves
- Gas grills
- Swimming pools/hot tubs
- Water heaters
- Outdoor Fire Features
PLUMBSQUADS installs both traditional and flexible gas lines, depending on the application. We often use flexible corrugated stainless-steel tubing when retrofitting an existing home with gas lines for a new range, fireplace, outdoor grill, or another new appliance. We can also use flexible gas lines in homes that don’t currently have natural gas service but are applying for it.
Regardless of the material, installing gas lines requires permits and work by a certified gas contractor like our guys at PLUMBSQUADS.
Installing a gas line from the street to a house or business is not a DIY job. From digging underground to making the connections, there is plenty of room for error or injury if you attempt this task yourself.
Old pipes that have been in homes and buildings for years can potentially cause massive damage. There are many older structures within Columbia. The materials used to build them have withstood over many years. However, despite lasting for long periods of time, they will eventually need to be updated, especially if galvanized piping. Galvanized pipes primarily need to be replaced because it is common for them to rust from the inside out. Oftentimes, this goes unnoticed until the problem is out of control.
